About the Work:

"Hand beading lends itself to a bohemian aesthetic. My design is a literal take on the abortion issue. I hand beaded the glass portion in various shades representing skin tones. The colored beads are woven in square patterns like a quilt. As I remember from my childhood growing up in South Georgia, my great aunts used to make most of their quilts in square patterns. The pink lines are an abstract (+) sign for positive pregnancy test. No matter what race or background, every woman is intertwined by the issues of abortion." - Trecy Bleich

Trecy Bleich jewelry is an accessories brand, formerly known as Vella mode. All pieces are designed and handcrafted by artist Trecy Bleich in Atlanta, Georgia using metalsmith and hand beaded techniques.  Her background is from the European kitchen and bath design industry where she became exposed to modern aesthetics in product design.

Trecy’s jewelry is about empowerment and conveying encouraging messages.  Designs are handcrafted in contemporary, abstract and minimal form using interesting colors and artistic detail.  

Some materials are sourced from her husband's native country of Germany and some are sourced in the U.S. Trecy hopes people enjoy wearing her jewelry as much as she loves making it.
