About the Artist: 

I am a NYC based jewelry artist and professor of Jewelry design. The New York industrial landscape inspires my artwork. My environment is at once tough, gritty and yet exquisite and vulnerable; I find that this disparity comes together in my art where I combine delicate elements with rough cut stones and deconstructed textural patterns.

 I studied my craft in New York city and later in Florence Italy, where I lived and taught for 5 years. All my work is created by hand in my Brooklyn, NY studio, and I love the small subtle perfect imperfections that are pervasive in the handmade.

 In these times as an artist and an educator I feel that there is so much to confront, so much to scream about; we all must find a way to take a stand in whatever means we feel comfortable, thus, I recently took it upon myself to curate a traveling show; The Plan B Art Project.” The show is dedicated to raise money and awareness for Planned Parenthood and bodily autonomy. To date over 70 artists have committed to the project, and we are traveling to galleries through 2023. I am thankful to the galleries and the artists who have committed to this project and to the collectors who are helping us make a difference.
